Erm. 1972 called, and it's very confused about its sudden ability to exist and communicate as a cohesive and self-aware being. Also it would like you to know that many decades of R and D have gone into producing some fairly devastating 9mm self-defense rounds. Most of the world's military and 60% of American police forces use it as their primary round. Shrug off a well-designed 9mm +P+ HP round and let's have coffee.
Low cost, wide availability, manageable recoil leading to faster and more accurate follow up shots, yadda yadda yadda. It's the perfect round for the blood thirsty consumer.
