pro tip: stopping power does actually add a realistic percentage to personal safety. lets say you wing someone on their fleshy shoulder (typical non vital), chances are it will only take a a second or two to recover with all that adrediline pumping. larger calibers also generally offer better ballistics. now lets say you wing someone in the fleshy shoulder from 20 yards away. guess which one is more likely to fuck you up?
also consider distance and force when dealing with a bullet proof vests, ones going to slam a lot harder against that kevlar than the other.
yeah cops carry 9mm because thats the default cheapshit the government issues to them, also makes them more agile or shomething or so that they dont complain about hauling bulky weapons or ammo like a child or someshit
