48% of city residents didn't pay property taxes last year.

I did an insurance job for a restaurant inside the city a couple years ago. We were told city health inspectors needed to approve the reconstruction but that it would take up to 6 weeks before they could come out. We're not talking about federal inspectors or even state of Michigan inspectors.... CITY inspectors. How could it take 6 weeks for someone to come out?.

Now we were told that we could get someone else to come out and do the inspection to get these people back in business. We had to meet some "guy" at a specific time at the restaurant and pay him $350.00(cash only) and he would do the inspection and magically the city would approve the construction without the wait. These are things that really happen here....
