building a new workstation
needs to be uber beefy. Thinking it will come in around 2.5k after slight markdown for university jobs.
Would appreciate suggestions. This machine will specialize in handling large (up to 1 gig) image stacks and 3D volume renders using Maya, Studiomax, Amira, Mimics.
Will have the file server box for backups but still, should I go RAID 5?
