Like I said before, pet owners are funny.
A couple of weeks ago, I was driving in the Farmington area north on Orchard Lake Road near Maple. (any of the Michigan BF people should know it). This part of the road is very, very congested. 3 lanes on each side with a center lane for left turns. It was lunch time so the road each way was clogged with cars. While sitting in traffic that was barely moving, I see a little white poodle running up the sidewalk unattended. It was well groomed and you could hear the dog tags jingling as it ran so it was obvious it wasn't a stray. It looked a little confused and would wander through the stopped cars in the road from time to time, like it was lost.
You should have seen the amount of people who were diving out of their cars and running into traffic trying to catch this dog. Literally around 20 people left their vehicles and began running through traffic trying to catch this thing. All the time I kept thinking to myself that if an old man or woman dropped dead on the side of the road, these same people would pass by without giving a shit claiming it wasn't their business unless it was a relative of theirs.
Pet owners are funny...
