I did that video on request from one of my Steam friends. He challenged me to try and get the thing in the air without having played the game or read any manuals prior to that, with only my extensive knowledge from DCS Blackshark to help me, which if you didn't know by now are both very similar games with the small, insignificant detail that one is a helicopter sim and the other is a plane sim. Regardless of how radically different both machines look like, it actually did help a lot as many of the concepts and procedures to start the engines on the KA-50 are the same for the A-10, go figure.
Also to be fair, I was *almost* there, I only needed to turn on nose wheel steering and I would have made it but I had no idea and it never occurred to me because hey, you never need to steer a helicopter in the ground, you just take off.
I've since redeemed myself, it took about 4 months but I learned how to play A-10 and what most of those buttons do. I also learned not to post 10 minute long videos of simulators when you have no idea what you're doing or you'll get lots of angry emails from a very dedicated, very serious and very vocal crowd.
