Is State of Decay multiplayer? I've been avoiding it because for some reason I thought it was just a SP campaign, and playing video games alone reminds me that I'll probably die alone.

V/H/S 2 was definitely on par with the first one. At it's worst, it's probably equal to the tamer stories of the first one, but when it wants to go over the top, it certainly does. Without spoiling anything, the one centered around an Asian cult was quite entertaining - though by the end you'll be saying "What the fuck?" and rolling your eyes a bit.

I really hope they keep the series going if for no other reason than they're fun to watch with some friends and a few beers, and the stupidest of stories need only be endured for 15 to 20 minutes.
