Another interesting thing I observed:
The more killer traps you have, the more money you earn.
When every available space is filled with expensive traps, the money pours in. About the only non-AFK thing I did was run around and collect coins so the CPU wouldn't have so much to keep up with. Even without void walls or portals, the money and potions carpeted the floor. I contemplated taking damage and using magic so I could also skim off some of the potions.
