RE: RPS review of Shadow Warrior
The charm of the original Blood was that it was full of movie references and quotes, but most of the content it borrowed from was cult classics that weren't always that widely known anyways. It tends to always show rather obviously when a game is a labor of love versus a piece of shit studio mandated affair.
The studio to do it right doesn't actually exist anyways. The closest revival might be if Valve bought the rights and gave it to the team that works on Left 4 Dead. That's the only game to combine horror and humor in a way most people can stomach.
