RE: House of Leaves
I was very close to getting Don Quixote back when I started this crusade to start reading again. I think the length put me off... which is ironic since I was previously considering the Stand until your warnings came about.
992 pages (according to Amazon) is dedication considering I tend to stick to one story at a time. That being said, once I get through Books of Blood, Haunting at Hill House, and Catch-22 (I've read it back in school but don't think I appreciated the humor in it back then), I may finish it all off with Don Quixote.
