This is where I tell you for the nth time to watch Hardware and The Signal.

You should also watch Videodrome if you haven't already. If you want to get pretentious, watch Beyond the Black Rainbow. It wasn't really that good, but if you watch it with someone, you can pretend you understand some deeper meaning while they wonder if there's even a plot.
