Have you even watched the video for the new controller? He fumbles around clumsily, and accurate aiming takes forever. Mouse pointer control is the same as using a laptop touchpad, which is not something anyone should look forward to. Considering they cherry-picked a person with the most control over the thing, there is nothing worth waiting for. If anything, someone will mod their controller to work with consoles, then you'll see Valve forced to license it out, or lose money to cheap Chinese knock-offs. At that point, SteamOS and their console will have just been an experiment that fizzled out.
