The Major-General gets all the glory, but there are better songs in Pirates of Penzance. Consider, for example, his daughters singing "Let Us Gaily Tread the Measure." This performance makes you want to be a girl, or it would if the imbecil who posted it had got the sound and picture synced correctly. (Also, this 1983 movie version demonstrates that there is a vast difference between amateur high school flailing and professional productions of Gilbert and Sullivan.)
