Budget. Yes, my budget is around $500. I don't care about Haswell or SSDs or super graphics. I don't care about super light or thin. I'll probably keep the thing plugged in most of the time because unless you want a tablet or something made by Apple, battery life is a joke.
I saw something at Radio Shack the other day that was just about right. I think it was an Asus for about $540 or so. That's right. Radio Shack. Retail. Not Black Friday. I don't care.
