I assume people are just going back to 3+ year old games to get their fix while a whole lot of nothing is on the horizon.
Pretty much this.
The new AAA games are made for brotards. Indie games are terrible, with rare exceptions like OMD/2, Mount and Blade, Path of Exile, etc. All the new consoles are shit.
Solution: play old games and the few decent indies on Windows 7. Put XP on a second hard drive and play older games on that. Stay away from Windows 8/8.1 (I will probably have more fun reports about this).
