I sort of suspect that the Marty and Billy characters in Seven Psychopaths represent the new Hollywood. They're aimless morons without a shred of integrity or common sense. Their shared mentality is entirely pre-teen. All they have are their destructive appetites.
I say "sort of suspect" because the movie never successfully stands outside itself to make a convincing indictment. It's like it can't escape its own tar pit of stupidity. Such a shame to see Christopher Walken being wasted in this brainless mess.
