I think the First Omnibus is mostly by William King. Purists like him better than Nathan Long, who took over the series when King simply quit for mysterious reasons.
I like them both, but I lean a bit toward Long. King spends rather too much time on Felix's musings, recriminations, cowardice, love affairs, etc. Long pays a bit more attention to Gotrek.
Also, the first book, as I recall, is mostly a collection of short stories sort of stitched together in a grim travelogue. The second and later books are better.
