There's a place a few minutes from my house that supposedly has bigfoot sightings. It's called Monkey Mountain. I haven't been there, as it's basically just a horse trail, but some linguist claims to have recorded them howling and is trying to translate their "language".
Most of the time, a bigfoot sighting is just a drunk hoosier that sees a bear. I don't know anyone personally with a story, but I did know someone that lived near Sioux Passage Park in St. Louis that claimed he saw a native american warrior staring at him from the woods.
