Really, the wizard has no escape moves of any count. She needs a brief invulnerability with a very short cooldown, like the demon hunter. Even the witch doctor's spirit walk is infinitely better that teleport.
Teleport is extremely unreliable about half the time. The other half, she gets instantly jailed or vortexed right after escaping ice or some elite gangbang. Then she has to wait forever for the cooldown. Well, not forever -- just long enough to get murdered with the next damage spike.
See, elites look at wizards and think "WIZARD BAD -- WIZARD BIG DAMAGE KAHUNA -- MUST DIE -- IGNORE EVERYBODY ELSE -- SMASH WIZARD." So being mobile is useless. Yes, all the "pro" wizards will tell you to learn to use teleport "properly." Really. How does that work? Oh, you must mean that silly Wormhole rune thing. Yes, you're absolutely right. After scooting away twice really fast, elites won't even think of walling you or using their own teleport skill with no cooldown. I get it. I'm just doing it wrong.
No, the wizard is still so broken that she has use every damage mitigation passive she has and cast a damage absorption bubble, which she can only get by using a melee skill, because if she starts moving around, she's dead.
