I don't recall the stuttering, but maybe I was just used to games running like shit, though I did play it again a couple years ago on a certainly capable computer. Dunno. Can't comment on the multiplayer since I never tried it. I certainly wouldn't have expected the netcode to be on par with Q3 or UT.
