BF - we'd been considering the RTP area of NC or maybe somewhere near Florence SC. The big problem down there is mostly the public schools are worthless. We have too much debt to go down debt free sooner than maybe 4-5 years so we'd most likely be bringing some with us, which would mean a harder house hunt and definitely no private school.
We'll see what happens. My dad and I are gonna start fixing up our house a few hundred bucks at a time and maybe we can sell it for more than I think we can. The homes across the street on smaller lots sold for almost $75K more than we owe on ours, but they're new construction and our house is hard to appraise because it's log.
Lots of variables and moving parts. But yeah: Carolinas.
