RE: Follow-up on fruit cocktail
I'm on my second round of store brand fruit cocktail. The canning and quality haven't changed. I may buy the store brand next week just to see if I got a bad batch.
In the meantime, this is one more example of me making a general statement based on THE TRUTH, which is to say a very reliable trend, such that it becomes almost self-evident, as true as the sun coming up in the east. And then right after I make that statement, the sun decides to come up in the west just to make me look bad.
This can only mean that the universe fears me. Will I stop telling the truth? Will I cease my crusade to protect my fellow humans and improve civilization? Will I be dissuaded by the cheap tactics of the canned fruit industry to discredit me, even though the whole thing LOOKS like a coincidence?
Not a whit. Not an inch will I retreat. I must call this what it is: balderdash. It's worse than balderdash. It's poppycock and fiddlesticks.
