This is definitely much more capable than any PS4 right off the bat.
There is still room to upgrade with another 290X
And yes, I have the resources to facilitate this type of upgrade.. Since my board supports 3way CrossFire/SLI and I bought a second 750W PSU on the cheap during thanksgiving sale, I can actually link both my 750W power supplies together and have the second PSU dedicated only to my GPUs.. I chipped an extra 10$ for a PSU-coupler which provides a dummy load on the 3.3v rail.

You wont believe how cheap a used R9 290X sells for on ebay,
I can only imagine this price getting cheaper in another year or when the 3xx series comes out.
