I should probably mess with settings more. I usually just check to see whether the resolution is 1980 x 1080 and accept whatever else the game recommends. I don't have a clue about the various AA choices or ambient occlusion or whatever. Sometimes I'll turn off depth of field, blurring, cinema grain, and that kind of thing because I don't want my game to look like some scale model diorama. Other than that, I don't much care.
