Yeah I have an i7 workstation Asus laptop that screams and several performance machines in the lab but I won't be processing 3d data at home so I was just gunning for decent value. I've been playing on my Core 2 Quad for going on 6 years now, so clearly I'm not interested in paying the state of the art tax.
mobo is a Gigabyte GA-z97-sla
8 gigs of Kingston DDR3-1600 RAM (will add two more sticks eventually. The name is FURY in all caps and they are red so you know they ROX)
some terabyte SATA drive
eVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti SuperClocked (two caps in one word speaks to performance quality) 2 gig
some damned DVD RW drive
some damned black Antech case
the 750 watt PS I linked to some months ago
