If vampires existed, the PRBs would certainly have associated with them.
I can't say that Bram Stoker knew any of the surviving PRB associates, though he did marry Oscar Wilde's former sweetheart. That's kind of close. No, it's not even close, since Swinburne dismissed Wilde as a pest. It's truly a social blow when a mutant like Swinburne won't acknowledge you. Stoker can't really be said to have anything to do with this.
Anyhow, even though Dracula grew out of the sensational literature of the 1860s-70s, as well as second-hand anecdotes and other half-baked research, I can't help thinking it wouldn't have been written had the PRB not existed. They would certainly have peed all over themselves about the book if they had been of Stoker's generation.
