ah, that reminds me
the first time this world saw a massive production of real metal armor (over 50% coverage of body) was probably during the height of medieval warfare, just before gunpowder
im actually just using this as an excuse to tell you about
Jean Froissart
who just happened to be following a king and writing for him during the height of armored warfare
i think his works are very special unique because of this
i happened to stumble upon his works by pure luck while surfing the random article feature of wikipedia
i consider this one of my greatest finds. i just love not-so-well-known important pieces of history.
i mean this literally is the de-facto source of ancient armored warfare. i would imagine this to be very pretentious and important to military historians, or people who think swords and castles and suffering is cool
