Of late, barbs have been doing pretty well. They aren't big team picks in Greater Rifts, but they probably get more invites than wizards. The big three right now, owing to team synergy and optimum efficiency, are demon hunter (lead guitar), witch doctor (drums), and monk (bass). Four-man groups prefer another dh, wd, or monk, but they'll let in a crusader as a support class. They'll also let in a good barb. So as you can see, it's not hopeless.
For the wizard, there's no hope. Nobody invites a wiz to a 4-man for any reason ever. They are truly the pariah class now.
