This is a Wizard update, simulcast on MBM.

Well, last night I got my Firebird pants from Kadala. In the very same gambling session, she gave me some Vyr pants and a Tal Rasha chest. I didn't need the latter two items, but I was impressed by her generosity.

With the Firebird pants, I now have six pieces of the set, so I no longer need to wear the Ring of Royal Grandeur. I decided to socket a ring set -- Focus and Restraint -- which gives me some strange bonus to damage I can't understand -- something about 50% damage tied to my "primary resource," whatever that is. Well, it can't hurt and is probably doing something nice. Also, I'm able to use two powerful legendary gems in the sockets.

Add to this that I'm able to use Cindercoat as my torso armor, and I now have about 76% added fire damage. I could probably improve the rolls on my other FIrebird pieces, but I'll get to this eventually. Right now, I'm about as perfect as a wizard gets, with decent survivability for Torment 6 and insane damage.

My weapon is an ancient Serpent's Sparker, which allows me to have two mammoth hydras active simultaneously. This results in prodigious damage output. I may eventually be able to use an item that increases their damage or their attack speed -- something like Tasker and Theo gloves possibly, though the other stats on these tend to be awful.

Critics would say I need a good ancient Fury mace for its benefit vs. elites, but I'm not so sure about that. If I get a good one, I'll test the difference, but right now I'm pretty happy.

Also, at present I don't use teleport. I know I'll have to use it for the more ambitious Greater Rift levels, but I just don't need it in Torment 6. I think the advantage to Teleport and Fury in Greater Rifts of rank 25 and greater is that eventually enemies can one-shot you, so you need your Teleport for fast mobility (also to get around wasting time), and the Fury kills elites pretty fast at a level when they can really hurt you. Well, we'll see.
