This is what happens in early access. Your basic mod team decides that combining survival and dinosaurs would be an awesome rad uber sick idea.
Which it is. You can't argue with the idea. But because these people are not grown-ups and don't want to mess with the hard, tedious planning and preproduction that goes into a successful venture, they decide that the public should pay them and work for them while they figure out what they're doing. They're probably the same people who decide to get girlfriends, make babies, and move into houses while their parents pay their bills, clean up their messes, and babysit for them.
