Things that could have improved it:
Change the over-the-top tone to a more realistic one.
Add more car chases.
Less dialogue and story overall.
Lose the technological "save the Earth" angle.
Even more car chases.
Change setting to a post-apocolyptic desert.
Add more cars.
Less CGI.
Change main character's name to "Max".
