I can live with it.
Sure, a set does what a set does. You commit to the set or, with Royal Ring of Grandeur, some combination of sets. Compared to the variety in PoE, it is cookie cutter. But I'm okay. I have multiple elements to choose from. I have multiple effects conferred by legendary armor, weapons, and jewelry. I have more effects with gems.
If that's not enough, I have four other classes with their own sets, skills, and varieties of effect. Who on earth needs more than that? You can tire of this game, but you can't exhaust it. If you manage somehow to do so, your life is on the phone waiting to tell you how crazy you are.
