I see. Well, an alternative might be using an index card in front of your monitor with "Don't waste time on the internet" written on it. You could use a long strip of tape to affix it to the top of the monitor and let it hang at eye level. When you need to use the computer, suspend the card on the other side.
I believe in the power of index cards.
