do you remember the word 'axe' being spelled without the redundant 'e' at the end? it used to be spelled this way up until the early 2000's
that is, until the axe line of mens personal care products started airing their commercials
those commercials were revolutionary and changed the advertisement industry.
but it's insidious how people just took it upon themselves to adopt the incorrect spelling. i don't thing something like this has ever happened with the english language, where an unintended side effect of commercial advertisement has literally changed the english language.
i don't think society is getting any smarter
more people need to know about this and be upset
and how can you allow something like this slip under your radar?
i'm very upset at you and everyone else who let this happen
