When you bailed on me, I still went to the RCT and hiked it. The only thing hardcore about it was how crowded it was. I passed a person on that trail about every 10 minutes. The whole trail is practically paved, it's just a constant gradual incline, which is not at all difficult to hike, even with 50 lbs of gear. There are trails I've been on in Missouri that are 10x more difficult to hike, so I really have no idea what you're going on about.
But yeah, it rained on me half the time I was there, so you probably wouldn't have made it.
