You don't really have to explain yourself, as it's pretty obvious you're full of shit.
I only hiked halfway through and back, since I didn't feel like spending money on a taxi service back to my car. All the wildlife is on the south part of the trail, so I didn't really see any while I was there. I was fine at the higher altitude. 10k feet is not that bad. Those warning signs they put up in the park are just for children and the elderly, and maybe your fat-ass.
