Then I'll vouch for The Witcher 3. I've never really been a massive fan of the previous games but this one is very good, CDPR seems to have been listening to feedback as everything I didn't like about 1 and 2 is no longer present here. The combat, which has traditionally been the series' low-point is much improved over the last game. The quests are great as usual: Even the least important of secondary quests has an interesting backstory attached to it, which is something I've come to really like about this series.

Though maybe it's just me coming to TW3 from having played the awful Dragon Age Inquisition, where side quests usually consist of <INSERT GENERIC NPC> asking you to collect 10 <INSERT INGREDIENT> to <INSERT MOTIVES> and be rewarded with <INSERT BLAND ITEM>.

There's a Magic style card battle game withing the universe called Gwent. Gwent is so good, someone is working on a mod that replaces every combat encounter with a round of Gwent.

Gwent is life, Gwent is love.
