brutal doom is literally the best game to have ever been released, it presents itself as a simple cool mod, but when you actually reflect on how the gameplay makes you feel, it really does have the most significant impact on you compared to any other FPS. doom 1 + metalpack soundtrack = STUFF OF LEGENDS

you can play single player or even online as a summon necro (melee skelles) + corpse explosion. be sure to hire the act2 nightmare level offensive merc and cast amp damage (min level 6) on everything. this combination will actually get you pretty far in hell difficulty.
diablo2 hell difficulty is real non-cucked challenge in gaming. its not even fun bro. be sure to install latest patch and also install the plugY mod and get accustomed to runewords motherfucker.

have you ever modded skyrim with any of the latest combat and overhaul mods?
they have a mod which locks your movement when you swing, it feels very natural and is similar to dark souls (pretentious overrated shit).
you need to install perkus maximus + these combat mods + mod which gives the NPCs all the perkus maximus stats, and makes them way harder in an actual fun way. perkus maximus does wonders with balance and skills. actually the only issue with balance would be the extreme difficulty of starting out at level 1. but rest assured the effort is worth it and will balance out
