Subject:
things in which i have discovered
bacteria live in clouds
i was thinking of this possibility, that colonies of bacteria can take to the sky in live in clouds, and how life can exists there. but i had no idea how responsible they are for everything. all of our rain, snow and ice.
this is very uncommon information,
although cloud-bacteria is typically not known to exist by people, it was very easy finding information about this online.
we think that water freezes at 0c
but the metric system is actually wrong, and very stupid.
water requires a nuclei to freeze. the 'freeze' effect is a coagulation around this nuclei, where the crystals groups together. the nuclei can be anything from a dust particle to a bacteria, but certain bacteria are specially designed with proteins and chemicals that cause ice to coagulate much better. without a nuclei, water actually freezes at -40c, in which i would assume the water itself then becomes a nuclei or appropriate medium for crystallization.
here is an interesting and basic PDF on the subject
http://www.hardydiagnostics.com/articles/Ice-Forming-Bacteria.pdf
if you read this you will also find that farmers can manipulate this bacteria and basically replace the common ice-forming species, with a mutated variant which does not form ice. this basically makes all crops immune to frost on the ground. which saves billions of dollars per year.
but, as you might expect, is also something which greatly contributes to drought.
