Okay, not. I needed a fake headline to con you into reading about an important milestone.
Last night, aided by ILA's pro monk, I subjected my crusader to the horrors of Torment 6. She acquitted herself pretty well, I must say.
While as yet unable to complete the Akkhan set, I have managed to acquire a full complement of Seeker of the Light, which isn't too bad. It exploits the uber skill Falling Sword and adds a thorn damage perk. After spending entirely too many resources on the mystic, I was able to increase the thorn stat on some of the armor pieces. I also have a pretty good ancient Hack 1h axe, which adds something like 49% to thorns. ILA suggested the legendary gem Boyarsky's Chip, which begins with 16,000 added thorns dmg and will only get better with successful greater rift upgrades.
Nice as the set is, though, I still want Akkhan, which is the uber outfit for the crusader as long as she can improve cooldown reduction. While the toon is substantially improved and can hold her own in T6, she still can't kill white mobs and rift bosses fast enough. Elites aren't a problem thanks to adding the Furnace to Kanai's Cube.
Gem upgrades may make the difference. I will continue on this road and provide future reports.
(I also reluctantly started improving my demon hunter. He's not as awful as I remember. Maybe I can do something here.)
