this new MSI z97 board is a piece of fucking shit though
on my older system i would have turbo boost disabled, among many other customized settings, including the ability to add my own custom keys for secure boot. i would be prompted before the system would execute any bootloaders, and asked to add or reject a custom key (generated after detection)
this way i was able to run secure boot properly, it was quite nifty.
my old gigashit board also had intel LAN and not marvel shit
