Proper speaker placement is extremely important in getting a good sound field. Ideally, with two front channels, they should be arranged as an equilateral triangle, with your head being the 3rd point.
Also, changing OP amps is pretty pointless if you have shitty speakers and/or amp and/or D/A converters.
