RE: Owls do harass coyotes and wolves!!
I watched a PBS Nature episode on owls last night. Interesting fact: barn owls make almost no noise when flying. They can hover right above you and you won't know it. This is because of the fringed construction of their wings. Unfortunately, this also renders them virtually helpless when it rains.
Also, an owl hitting a mouse is about equivalent to me getting hit by a freight train.
