Edge of Tomorrow still holds up
I watched this again last night. I don't know -- it just appeals to me on so many levels. It's my favorite "time do-over" movie because they handle the concept really well. Tom Cruise is okay, but the real star is Emily Blunt.
If I were 150 years younger, I would talk Emily Blunt into being my girlfriend. But then I would regret it because she's one of those people who should not have romantic complications interfering with their careers. Also, she would gain nothing by being my girlfriend and I could not bear the idea of besmirching her Dulcinea perfection with my presence.
I could talk her into it. Do not doubt it. But this would be like hanging the Mona Lisa next to one of the Dogs Playing Poker pictures. So I guess I'll go on being a movie fan.
