BF would just kill everybody and that would be that. As for the crowdfunding thing, I don't know why someone at WB doesn't just contact someone at Atari and Monolith to get a final roundup of rights, code, etc. Even if no money could be made right away, it seems to me that these parties would like to get this squared away just for the sake of tidiness. Maybe it would involve too much money and man-hours to locate it without the promise of some profitable return(?). I don't know. I just think if this country can put a man on the moon, some lawyers ought to be able to make some conference calls if only to put an IP to bed.
