yes believe me i know the purpose is to disconnect from the drivetrain weather the 4wd is constant or not. and i can assure you i know a fuck load more about vehicles than you do.

it was a retarded fucking mess
the reason it was a mess was because there is a large confusion among people regarding locking hubs. it was just one of those things nobody knows anything about and the subject has always been kept vague, even bore that shitty wikipedia article.
i cleared all that up in such a way where i was addressing the common problem, the common ignorance of locking hubs.
the specific way i wrote it was to combat the ignorance and its written in such way for a purpose.
