Hoo doggies. You're very fortunate that the house talked to you. I'm terrified of water heaters. Also car batteries.
I had a pinhole leak in one of the copper pipes going to my water heater. I don't know the pipe's function. I suspect the leak can be attributed to something my kitchen sink faucet does, namely seizing up when it gets full water pressure and then letting go again. I thought it might be the aerator, but not so. It's probably either something wrong with the cheap ball structure inside the faucet or some idiocy in the supply lines. Either way, I should call the landlord, but it's not important right now. I've learned to manipulate the water flow to get around the problem. Because, you know, plumbing is my biyatch.
