ok i take back everything i said about the nexus 5
yes, i can see why having a manufacturer directly provide you with system images is something amazing in the mobile sector. i can really see the value in this now. and it definitely is amazing.
its like i actually own the device or something.
anywho, the release version android 7.0 nougat is about to drop, which is pretty much the first version of fully fledged google OS. and of course, nexus owners get to install it as if it were an real actual OS being released. crazy, right?
there is no mystery OTA (carrier) firmware on my device. i can do a clean install and actually input my real google credentials and other personal info i only reserve on secure PCs, and put them into my android device.
this is by far the best option on the market, especially once you understand the full extent of how this works.
i can't imagine why anyone would every use anything else.
