The 1997 version of the game has 3 major, user created reversions.
The 1997 version (called Shandalar) is a real gem.
But you also have the new DotP (2010 and beyond, not to be confused with the specific 2010 Shandalar user created reversion which also includes the DotP expansion. DotP was originaly an expansion for the 1997 game, before the named was reused again in 2009 and 2010 for it's own new game)
Then you have Forge, which is an entirely new platform, built by hand from the ground up. It's a totally different game.
