Alice in Chains is cool because good sound equipment for normal people didn't exist in the 90s.
Infact, it didn't exist until recently - 2014 is when quality headphones started becoming cheap.
Alice in Chains is interesting because they have been pretty much forgotten for a long time, starting around in 2004. You will be surprised how good this band is when you rediscover them with quality headphones. Superb recordings. Must be played very loud, must have decent bass.
